چکیده
Anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) converted into nitrogen gas using nitrite as an electron donor in anaerobic conditions by anammox bacteria. Granular was used commonly to remove from wastewater. It easy be broken and tend settle the bottom of reactor application. A pored ceramic carrier proposed cultivate bacteria with two-inflow substrate feeding. The a diameter 1.0 mm set up center L conical filtering flask reactor. 70 mg-N/L ammonium-supplemented substate introduced through nitrite-supplemented substrates outside HRT 3 hours. influent effluent concentration measured once week ion chromatography. experiment conducted 35°C controlled temperature room. Anammox grew filled covered carrier's pore, flock settled reactor's performance achieved maximum 76.496 % NRE 0.901 kg-N/m3·d NRR, respectively.

Enhancement of nitrogen removal in a novel anammox reactor packed with Fe electrode.
Slow proliferation of anammox bacteria is a major problem limiting the wider application of anammox technology in practical wastewater treatment. A novel anammox reactor packed with a Fe electrode was developed for enhancing anammox consortium activity and accelerating the startup of anammox process. After 125 days' operation, total nitrogen removal rate achieved 1209.6 mg N/L/d in this hybrid ...
متن کاملThe development of simultaneous partial nitrification, ANAMMOX and denitrification (SNAD) process in a single reactor for nitrogen removal.
The simultaneous partial nitrification, ANAMMOX and denitrification (SNAD) process was validated to potentially remove ammonium and COD from wastewater in a single, oxygen-limited, non-woven rotating biological contactor (NRBC) reactor. An ammonium conversion efficiency of 79%, TN removal efficiency of 70% and COD removal efficiency of 94% were obtained with the nitrogen and COD loading rate of...

متن کاملNitrogen removal by a nitritation-anammox bioreactor at low temperature.
Currently, nitritation-anammox (anaerobic ammonium oxidation) bioreactors are designed to treat wastewaters with high ammonium concentrations at mesophilic temperatures (25 to 40°C). The implementation of this technology at ambient temperatures for nitrogen removal from municipal wastewater following carbon removal may lead to more-sustainable technology with energy and cost savings. However, t...
متن کاملNitrogen removal using an anammox membrane bioreactor at low temperature.
Membrane bioreactors (MBRs) have the ability to completely retain biomass and are thus suitable for slowly growing anammox bacteria. In the present study, an anammox MBR was operated to investigate whether the anammox activity would remain stable at low temperature, without anammox biomass washout. The maximum nitrogen removal rates were 6.7 and 1.1 g-N L⁻¹ day⁻¹ at 35 °C and 15 °C, respectivel...
